The derailleur supports a maximum outer chainring size of 52 teeth and has a total capacity of 16 teeth. It includes a plated steel chain cage and an aluminum link and clamp band to save weight while improving rigidity. The chain line measures 43.5mm. This derailleur is compatible only with ST-4700 or ST-RS405 shifters and operates with bottom-pull cable routing.
