Bankshot Willy's Cue Tip & Ferrule Gauge is more versatile than the other flimsy and difficult to read cue tip gauges in the marketplace or that you have owned in the past. First, it's probably the sturdiest cue tip gauge you will ever own. It's made of 1/16" military grade fiberglass laminate, a material known for its dimensional stability and extreme durability. It arrives accurate and stays accurate for years and years. Second, Besides the 15 cue tip gauging holes ( 8.5mm thru 15mm ), you get a triple doming gauge to measure the curvature of your cue sticks tip. Besides the usual Nickel & Dime diameters, it inlcudes an in-between Penny diameter. All of the doming notches are 15mm wide to acccomodate the full range of cue tips measurable with the 15 gauging holes. Third, a ferrule length ruler is included so you can quickly determine the length of a ferrule on any cue stick. (Use the gauging holes to determine its diameter.) Fourth, a Tip Wear gauge, calibrated in 1/16" units, is alos inlcuded. Insert the tip of you cuse stick into the Tip Wear notch to measure down from the top of tip's dome to the base of the tip and read off the thickness of the remaining leather. The notchis 15mm wide to accommodate all cue tip diameters. Fifth, unlike most other cue tip gauges dimensional information is included on both sides of the gauge. This includes the cue tip dimensions in Inches along with millimeters.
